Western Region recognizes Yolanda Bergstrom, Govinda Gurung and Adrian Mares for their outstanding hard work and unwavering dedication to our customers.

Yolanda has been in her current role as facility manager at Camp Roberts for one year, and during this time, she has displayed resilience and overcome several challenges based on the location of the facility. She readily adapts and leads her small but mighty team of three through varying job conditions with ease, always keeping the customer at the forefront. She readily takes the initiative for additional knowledge and has a desire for challenge. Not only does Yolanda manage her facility, she also provides assistance to sister locations, be it during troop movement and helping stock or with ordering product. Yolanda has built a collaborative relationship with base leadership and is an active liaison. During a recent emergency 10-day troop movement at Camp Roberts, the facility served 4,538 customers which resulted in $138,352 in sales. As an Army Veteran, Yolanda embodies Family Serving Family, and her dedication continues to enhance facility operations.

Govinda Gurung
Custodial Worker, Lewis Main Food Court

Govinda is vital to the success at the Lewis main food court. Govinda has an outstanding work ethic and is able to create a positive environment for the customers and associates. He takes pride in everything he does and has even been able to keep up with all of the new customers that Panera has drawn into the food court. From keeping the dining room clean and inviting for our guests in the front of house, to making the walls, floors and sinks shine in the back of house, Govinda is a one-stop shop worker who will do anything to support the Exchange.We are thankful to have Govinda as a member on our team on JBLM!

Concessionaire Adrian Mares, owner of Longhorn Connects LLC, continues to raise the bar when it comes to customer service at Fort Bliss. He provides quality products and reliable service to bring our customers the best experience possible. His YTD sales of $165,984, generated by both his short-term kiosk and vending machines, reflects his work ethic and dedication. This is a 59% increase from his LY sales of $104,267, demonstrating impressive growth. The Exchange has recognized his steadfast commitment and positive community contributions. Adrian is a trusted partner to the Exchange, and his contributions are highly valued.
