Norma started her career with the Exchange in Misawa in 1983 as a cashier. Since then, she has held numerous positions ranging from general clerk to Loss Prevention. She joined the Vandenberg Exchange in 1991 as an operations clerk and stepped into her current role as logistics assistant in 2012. Throughout her career, Norma has fully embodied the family serving family values. She diligently works behind the scenes to review and verify merchandise accountability, facility price changes, and other distribution reports. She regularly conducts training with the managers and receivers at Vandenberg to share her knowledge in areas such as PIT, price changes and inventory research. Norma’s initiative and drive to achieve favorable operational results for the facilities and overall Vandenberg Exchange are seen in her daily briefs. She truly is a valued member of the Vandenberg Exchange family!

Gissell’s dedication and proactive approach have significantly contributed to our Popeyes team and to the Exchange. Starting with no prior restaurant experience, she consistently sought training and embraced challenges, leading to our impressive 101.1% score during Popeyes REV assessment. Her commitment aligns with Popeyes and the Exchange’s emphasis on continuous learning and development, fostering a collaborative and appreciative work environment. Gissell’s journey exemplifies the growth opportunities the Exchange offers, transforming novices into valuable team members. ​
Amanda Evans Brownell
Services Business Manager
Holloman AFB
Amanda has played a crucial role in enhancing Services at Holloman AFB. She actively contributes to installation and community events by supplying food trucks and concessions. Her involvement in the Legacy of Liberty Air Show, the Wonder on Wheels Mobile Museum, and the Month of the Military Child led to total sales of $56K for these three events. Amanda consistently demonstrates innovative thinking by partnering with vendors to develop unique and engaging events for our customers, such as the Hollocon Cosplay Event, which featured a local comic artist and cosplay characters who posed for photographs and provided autographs. Â Year-to-date, Amanda’s short-term food agreements have generated sales of $685K with an AFP of $478K, representing a remarkable increase of $207K or 43.3% above the AFP.
