Surprise luncheons greeted Fort Hood associates, who were honored by managers for their work during COVID-19.

Associates at the Fort Hood Exchange are continuing to come into work and take care of shoppers while dealing with the heightened stresses of the COVID-19 pandemic, and managers wanted to let them know that their dedication is noticed.

โ€œThe managers felt like we needed to do something to let associates know how much we appreciate them,โ€ said Fort Hood Exchange Store Manager Samantha Davis.

Associates received a surprise thank-you lunch bag that consisted of two sandwiches from the Exchange Burger King, a bag of chips, a disinfectant wipe and a thank-you note.

โ€œEven though it was just a small gesture, the associates were very grateful,โ€ Davis said. โ€œSome even mentioned that itโ€™s been hard to find meat in their grocery stores lately, so it was a relief to have one meal taken care of.โ€
