Barbara Garrett
Firearms Receiver, Nellis Main Store
Nellis AFB Exchange

Barbara Garrett plays a crucial role in protecting the accountability of the Nellis main store. As the primary receiver for firearms, Barbara ensures that all firearms are properly inspected upon arrival, received and recorded in Fastbound in compliance with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives standards. In addition to firearms, Mrs. Garrett overseas other critical areas such as e-Commerce furniture returns, which she does with precision, ensuring that sellable merchandise is accurately processed and moved to the sales floor. In cases where items are deemed unsellable, she promptly requests credits, thereby maintaining a low volume of returns in inventory. Barbara is also instrumental in ensuring all Epicurus SIS merchandise (jewelry and Rolex watches) are properly received and coded into the system to avoid point-of-sale pains and delays. Her efforts have significantly contributed to the successful operation of the new Epicurus store and the Nellis main store. We are grateful for her continued dedication to protecting our accountability and attention to detail.

She is fully dedicated to the mission of the Exchange and her role in customer service. Brenda is instrumental in the overall success of the Popeyes mobile app. In FY25, Mountain Home Popeyes achieved the highest app usage at 12.67% and has maintained the No. 1 position for most of the year.

Leo and Vanessa Guzman
Managers, Chef’s Fusion
Denver Consolidated Exchange

Chef’s Fusion is proudly operated by husband-and-wife team Leo and Vanessa Guzman. With roots in the food industry dating back to 2011, the Guzmans successfully managed five food trucks pre-pandemic, adding the Exchange in February 2023. Their mix of Mexican and American cuisine and success with our customers led to a permanent location in our food court, where they continue to thrive and grow menu offerings and customer relationships. While they were affected by the government shutdown, their sales are strong, and their service keeps customers coming back! Their goal is to open another concession in the food court that will serve pastries, coffee and more, filling a niche in the market they so proudly serve.
