The Exchange’s collaboration with NBCUniversal to offer free streaming of the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics to military communities attracted 35,000 unique visitors to ShopMyExchange.com, where they gained access to more than 2,400 hours of live streaming coverage across NBCUniversal’s streaming platforms.

“We’re thrilled by these results,” said Shalandrea Smith, Exchange chief of Telecom services. “It is an honor to connect with so many members of the military community and help them cheer on Team USA.”

Service members, honorably discharged Veterans and Exchange associates worldwide were offered free access to full coverage. In addition to competitive events, live streams of select practice and warm-up sessions and extensive video content including event recaps, highlights, viral moments and interviews were featured.

Viewers were able to access NBCUniversal’s coverage from their computers or personal devices by visiting NBCOlympics.com (desktop or mobile device) and the NBC Sports App (U.S. only) and choosing the Exchange as their service provider. To verify eligibility, an active ShopMyExchange.com account was required.

This longstanding venture, made possible by the Services and Food Directorate, began with the Rio Summer Olympics in 2016 and will continue with the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles from July 14 through 30, 2028.

In addition, the Exchange is offering free streaming of the Milano Cortina Paralympic Winter Games through March 15.
