More than 200 associates dedicated more than a year to growing leadership skills, increasing self-awareness and advancing the Exchange mission.

“The Exchange truly understands the military lifestyle and supports spouses like me every step of the way,” the Military Clothing store manager says.

The Express manager is Air Force Veteran, former military spouse and a military brat who says she’s willing to stay open late to serve the troops.

The 33-year associate is a military brat, an Air Force father and a military spouse who met his wife at the Exchange.

The new initiative aims to strengthen workplace culture, boost morale and reinforce the value of connection at all levels.

The 22-year associate and military spouse remains just as inspired by her work as the day she joined the Exchange.

During his 33-year Exchange career, the Army Veteran has risen from janitor to Express store manager. “Most organizations don’t give you that kind of opportunity,” he says.

The military spouse’s fondest memories come from the flexibility the Exchange offered when her children were young.

This marks the 16th year the Exchange has been honored in the nonprofit/government category.

““People work for the Exchange because they love their jobs,” the military spouse says. “I couldn’t have worked here for 24 years if I didn’t love it..”
