Customer Shoutouts: These Associates Rock!

I would like to recognize Derrick Bogar, furniture store manager at Robinson Barracks, for excellent customer service and leadership. Mr. Bogar told us that the sofa we had ordered would not be available for another month, but he went out of his way to send us pictures via email of other sofas that might interest us. Mr. Bogar found us a deal and accommodated our furniture needs. During the checkout, a clerk was having difficulty properly checking us out. Although there were other customers who needed his attention, Derrick calmly stopped what he was doing and provided on-the-spot instruction to the associate without making him feel uncomfortable. His leadership skills are evident and his customer service is outstanding. Thank you to the furniture store and to Mr. Bogar.

I would like to recognize Mr. Yu at the Camp Humphreys main store for his excellent customer service. He assisted me in locating a grill and even loaded it into my car. I was shopping with my toddler, which can be hectic, but Mr. Yu’s help and patience made my shopping trip much easier. Thank you.

Store Manager William Fagan went above and beyond his duties in helping me after the loss of my dad, a retired first sergeant. I felt obligated to have his dress uniform just right and did not know where to start. Mr. Fagan personally took the time to review my dad’s DD-214, select the right ribbons and insignia, and then put together the jacket. He showed such great compassion and care that my family and I felt great comfort in an hour of great need. He is truly an exemplary representative for all Exchanges and demonstrated the very unique and necessary relationship between the organization and military families. I will always remember and be grateful for Mr. Fagan’s kindness.

 My husband and I are extremely happy and impressed with the wonderful customer service provided by Holly in the PowerZone. Holly has helped us many times, and I wish I would have remembered sooner to give her kudos. Holly is really patient with my husband, who usually asks a barrage of questions every time we go to the Redstone Exchange. She always has the right answer and is the epitome of friendliness and courtesy. I had a question about a new Samsung Galaxy J3 that I bought at the Redstone Exchange, but the sales associate was busy with a customer. Holly was nice enough to hear my conundrum and gave me spot-on advice. Thank you so much, Redstone Main Exchange, the whole staff is great.

I am a retiree and I recently needed to purchase a new mess dress uniform for my daughter’s wedding. Brenda Goodie helped me out with a difficult purchase, trying to find my size with the worldwide locator, calling other stores, all during the week of the Air Force Ball. She even contacted me regarding a newly arrived cummerbund. Her customer service was spectacular. She is certainly one of the finest staff members I’ve encountered in 30 years of dealing with AAFES across the world. Please pass on my eternal thanks to her and my comments of her fantastic customer service and attitude. Thanks again for helping my family make the day special!
