MILITARY STAR Card accepted at Commissary

$1.4 million, that’s how much!

Expanding the Exchange Credit Programโ€™s MILITARY STARยฎย card to all 237 commissaries around the world have netted 197,000 grocery shoppers with that big bundle of rewards since the Defense Commissary Agency began accepting the card this past October.

The MILITARY STARโ€™s rewards program offers cardholders a 2 percent return on purchases, earning a $20 rewards card for every $1,000 spent.

โ€œExpanding acceptance of the MILITARY STAR card to the commissary creates additional benefits for military shoppers,โ€ said Jami Richardson, the Exchange Credit Programโ€™s senior vice president. โ€œThe MILITARY STAR card now works even harder to support service members and military families.โ€

Exchange store associates are urged to tell all customers that the commissaries are now accepting the cards, which come with plenty of benefits, such as:

  • The lowest APR (11.74 percent) of any retail-issued credit card, no matter the cardholderโ€™s credit score
  • No annual, late or over-limit fees
  • 10 percent discount on first dayโ€™s purchase

Since 2000, the Exchange has administered the MILITARY STAR program for all military exchanges.
