To the folks at Taco Bellโ€™s corporate office, Emily Williams and her team at the Taco Bell at Tinker AFB, Okla., are โ€œabsolute rock stars.โ€

During the last visit by the Taco Bell corporate inspector, Williams and her restaurant scored perfect and then some in executing brand standardsโ€”in other words, following all Taco Bell procedures all the time.

The Taco Bell has scored above 100 percent on the most recent three inspectionsโ€”one in 2017 and two in 2018. Associates went beyond the 100-percent mark by getting bonus points. In fact, 94 percent of the customers gave them a โ€œfull taco,โ€ the highest rating on a customer satisfaction survey.

Williams, who has managed the restaurant for two years, said that reaching such a lofty status takes training and meeting regularly to ensure theyโ€™re doing things the Taco Bell way.

โ€œWe start the entire process by training new associates correctly from day one,โ€ said Williams, whoโ€™s worked at the Tinker Taco Bell for nearly four years. โ€œWe self-evaluate our store the same way our inspectors do every week and correct anything that isn’t up to standards.โ€

One standard that Williams said she and her staff seek to meet or exceed is keeping their speed of service for every order within or better than the Taco Bell corporate standard of three minutes and 30 secondsโ€”and, of course, ensuring as many customers as possible are happy.

โ€œTaco Bellโ€™s purpose is to โ€˜Feed Peopleโ€™s Lives with Mas,โ€™ which means to always be helpful, understanding, grateful, relentless and youthful,โ€ Williams said. โ€œThis goes hand-in-hand with our โ€˜Family Serving Familyโ€™ core value of always treating our customers like family, the way we would want to be treated, and giving them a great experience every time they visit our store.โ€

Exchange General Manager Brenda Hyland also is delighted with the performance of Williams and her team.

โ€œThey set the standard for every Exchange restaurant in the food court,โ€ Hyland said. โ€œI can always count on Emily and her team to work together to provide an absolutely clean restaurant, food made to the Taco Bell standards and ensure that our valued customers get the food they want quickly.

โ€œI couldnโ€™t ask for a more exceptionally operated restaurant, thanks to Emily and her team.โ€
