For Katelyn Zahn, the Exchange has always been a part of her family. As a softlines associate at the Fort Lee Exchange, Zahn brings the comfort she’s known while growing up in a military family to the community.

“The Exchange has been a part of my family since the beginning and provided that sense of normalcy we needed,” Zahn said.

Zahn helps Fort Lee Soldiers and families maintain a sense of normalcy—something the Exchange did for her while growing up.

“I enjoy all of the people that I am able to meet on a consistent basis and the relationships that I have been able to build while working at the Exchange,” she said.

Over the past seven years, Zahn has built relationships that have helped her excel.

“We’re here to help the military and their families,” she said. “It’s such an honor and privilege. It’s not just as a job. It’s a lifestyle and a choice to serve the military. I get that sense of joy and that benefit of helping others.”
