More than 50 Exchange concessionaires at Baumholder, Kleber, Landstuhl, Vogelweh, Panzer and Ramstein received a thank you letter from Exchange Director/CEO Tom Shull and Chief Operating Officer Jason Rosenbergโ€”with a personal touch.

The letter was sent to all Exchange service business managers to share with their concessionaires, but Kaiserslautern Military Community SBM Lani Chandler and her team hand-delivered the letter to their concessionaires, also including copies in their native language.

โ€œThese businesses have continued to support the military community through the difficulties of the pandemic,โ€ Chandler said. โ€œOur concessionaire partners were very grateful for the acknowledgement and many proudly displayed the letter for shoppers to see.โ€

More than 50 Exchange concessionaires received the letters, which thanked them for their perseverance through the the COVID-19 pandemic.

The letter thanked the businesses for persevering and in serving and keeping the military community safe through the pandemic.

โ€œYou have worked long hours and made personal sacrifices, while remaining flexible and focused on protecting the force,โ€ the letter stated. โ€œWe remain confident that, with your continued support, 2021 will be a great year together!โ€

Col. Scott McFarland, commander of the Exchangeโ€™s Europe/SW Asia Region, praised Chandler and her team for bringing a personalized touch.

โ€œTo hand-deliver these messages shows our care for their business and their employees,โ€ McFarland said.

For Chandler and her team, itโ€™s about supporting and building relationships with Exchange concessionaires, not just as a business, but as people.

โ€œWe love our community and the businesses who help support our service members and their families,โ€ Chandler said. โ€œThis has been an exceptionally difficult year for all of us because of the pandemic, and we are honored to show how much we appreciate them.โ€
