Virtual Toolbox Makes Store Operations Information Accessible to All Associates

NEWToolboxUpdate

For associates in the field, keeping up to date and informed on Store Operations information is getting easier and faster, thanks to the introduction of the virtual toolbox on MyApps.aafes.com, which was announced this week at the Express Seminar.

Any associate anywhere in the world can now access the toolbox at MyApps.aafes.com to view communications from the Store Operations team, such as store guidance from the Merchandising Directorate and daily recap messages. Previously, associates had to have an Exchange email address to receive this information.

“The toolbox makes accessing important Store Operations information faster and more convenient for the field,” said Store Operations Vice President Nicola Carter. “When we reduce barriers and open up access, stores can run more smoothly.”

The virtual toolbox is part of the newly upgraded Store Operations SharePoint site, which associates can now log in to through Microsoft Office 365 without being on the Exchange network or remoting in.

“Managers and associates won’t be tied to their desks to access Store Operations resources,” Carter said. “They can pull up this information on their phones while on the floor, at home or visiting facilities.”

For security, associates will need to log in with their LAN ID to view the SharePoint site.

In the coming months, stores will also receive posters with QR codes that will take associates directly to the toolbox and the Store Operations SharePoint site.
