FORT HOOD โ Exchange leaders have delivered another high-quality brand to the transformed, hard-earned benefit for authorized shoppers with the launch of Old Navy for the family at the Fort Hood PX.
Softlines Vice President Marissa Carpenter and other Exchange leaders cut the ribbon on the Exchangeโs newest offering for men, women and children to welcome the brand in-store on Sept. 16.

โOld Navy is another inclusive brand for shoppers in-store and online,โ Carpenter said. โWeโre excited to provide more style options for the military community, including Americaโs youngest heroes.โ
The Exchangeโs Corporate Communication and Brand Marketing team shared the ribbon cutting on Facebook Live, capturing the reactions of Exchange leaders and the new merchandise displays. Click here to see the video.
The inclusion of Old Navy products to the Exchangeโs lineup is part of the Exchangeโs internal focus to transform the shopping benefit for Soldiers, Airmen, Guardians and their families. Old Navy is the first brand launch to include childrenโs apparel and accessories in the product lineup.
Maria Espinosa, an Army spouse at Fort Hood, was among the first shoppers to browse the new collection and appreciated having the Old Navy brand at the PX.
โIt’s good because you don’t have to leave the base. That’s the convenience, especially because we only have one car,โ said Espinosa, who would shop the Exchange online prior to coming Fort Hood, as her husbandโs previous assignment was not near an Exchange. โThe sales and prices at the PX are really good.โ
Divisional Merchandise Manager Sylvia Smitherman selected the best Old Navy childrenโs merchandise with military shoppers at top of mind.
โWe kept the entire family in mind when selecting the product,โ Smitherman said. โThe childrenโs assortment gives our shoppers additional everyday value, and weโre excited to see their response to the Old Navy product.โ
The brand will be added to roughly 60 Exchange stores throughout 2022 (click here to visit a special Old Navy at the Exchange Flickr album with scores of photos). Associates can also shop the collection at ShopMyExchange.com tax-free with an additional 20% off the manufacturerโs suggested retail price.
The Exchange is focused on bringing the brands shoppers know and love to the military community, tax-free. Earlier this year, the Exchange welcomed American Eagle, with 32 Exchange stores rolling out their apparel throughout 2022. Aerie also joined the fold this year, and shoppers can find their products at about 30 select Exchange stores. Like Old Navy, both brands can be found on ShopMyExchange.com, as well.
