From the Express Seminar: Express Teams Take Home ‘Build Your Basket’ Awards

Europe BYB winner

Five Express stores worldwide were recognized as winners of the Build Your Basket By Cross-Merchandising contest during the opening session at the Express Seminar.

To be eligible to win, stores had to implement the cross-merchandising technique, marketing complementary products to shoppers to “build their basket,” and encourage shoppers to buy more with meal combos. Contest winners reported the largest increase in their average transaction amount in 2022 compared with the previous year. One winner was selected in each region.

Consumables Vice President Martha Robuck presented contest winners with their awards, including:

“We’re proud to celebrate the success of this year’s winners,” Robuck said. “Our buying teams will continue to work with vendors on multiple fronts to help drive additional traffic into Express stores and work multiple bundling promos to help drive add-on sales throughout the year.”
