From the Express Seminar: Chef Robert Irvine Talks Exchange Connection at Live ‘Chief Chat’
Celebrity chef Robert Irvine joined the Express Seminar lineup on Wednesday, taking the stage with the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor, Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Osby, for a live interview.
At Irvine’s second live “Chief Chat” appearance this spring (he also appeared at the Main Store Managers/General Managers Conference in April), the chef discussed his quest to provide quality, healthy food options to Warfighters, supporting their readiness and resiliency while in uniform.
“The impact of what we do is really powerful! I just received a tweet about something from Afghanistan [when we supported the mission there] 10 years ago,” Irvine said. “My team has traveled the globe in support of AAFES and continues to do so. Thank you for all you do.”
Irvine and Osby also stressed the importance of everyone supporting troops and their families, sharing that it doesn’t cost anything to be kind to others.
Osby ended the conversation thanking Irvine for his continued support of the Exchange and those who serve.
Irvine’s connection to the Exchange expands beyond military kitchens. His FITCRUNCH® products are available at ShopMyExchange.com and in select Exchange stores as well as his book, “Overcoming Impossible: How to Lead, Build a Team, and Catapult Your Business to Success.”
