OPERATION: Call Out—Pacific Region

Operation Call Out

Mikaio Gataivasa, Myra Dizon and Naomi Horino represent the “Best of the Best” from the Pacific Region. Our teams continue to provide amazing customer experiences for our service members and retirees and their families within our communities. We could not be prouder of what they do daily. Their actions reflect great credit upon themselves and the Pacific Region. Pacific Pride!

Mikaio Gataivasa
Customer Experience Associate
American Samoa

We recently had a customer come in looking to purchase 20 Echo Leaf Blowers to donate them to villages across Samoa to keep Samoa clean. The customer approached Mikaio for assistance with his purchase. Without hesitation, he gathered the leaf blowers, assisted the customer with checkout—adding $3,500 to our facility’s sales—then helped the customer load them into his vehicle. As the customer was leaving, he said, “I love shopping at the Exchange because the associates are very helpful, and they always make me feel important.”  Thank you, Mikaio, you are truly an asset to our team!

Myra Dizon
Administrative Specialist
Camp Zama

Our Community Gift Wrap program was a huge success, thanks to Myra. She reached out to several local organizations; organized several phone calls and meetings with their Gift Wrap Program representatives; and promoted the program on the Camp Zama Facebook page. Myra ensured that all forms were forwarded to the correct office and created a schedule, so all organizations benefited equally from the program. Thank you, Myra, for organizing and ensuring the success of this important community outreach program!

Naomi Horino
Optometry Receptionist
Okinawa Exchange

Naomi has been with the Exchange for 14 years and is a true asset to the Okinawa Optometry office. Recently her receptionist skills were put to the test. Due to the addition of a part time optometrist, her workload has increased significantly. Naomi stepped up and took this challenge to ensure that the office continues to run smoothly. She stays late to allow customers coming from neighboring installations to pick up their optometry items after hours. Her dedication contributed to a year-to-date sales increase in October of 3.2%.  Thank you, Naomi, you are the epitome of the Exchange core value, Family Serving Family. Thanks for all you do!
