The Fort Liberty Exchange continues to expand its supreme selection of dining options with the addition of Sbarro in the Smoke Bomb Hill Express.
Col. John Wilcox, Fort Liberty Garrison Commander, joined Fort Liberty Exchange General Manager Thomas โTKโ Kuttamperoor and Exchange Services Business Manager Cheryl Chevis in a ribbon-cutting May 17, where customers received giveaways and discounts.
Fort Liberty is the second Exchange location to receive the restaurant after Fort Bliss.
Besides pizza by the slice, menu items include Caesar or cucumber and tomato salads, and Italian favorites like stromboli, spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna.
โWe are thrilled to announce the new addition of Sbarro,โ Kuttamperoor said. โThe Exchange knows expanded dining options are an important way of improving the Quality of Life for the Soldiers and families.โ
Sbarro is the latest in a series of improvements at Fort Liberty. Earlier this year, the Fort Liberty Exchange welcomed fan favorites Panera and Potbelly. A $12.5 million new mini mall is scheduled to open this summer.
Anyone can dine at Exchange restaurants, including civilians and visitors. Dining at Exchange restaurants and shopping at Exchange stores help makes the military community stronger, as 100% of Exchange earnings are reinvested in the military community through support for on-post Quality-of-Life programs and capital improvements.
