From the COO: Introducing the Serving Heroes Champion of the Week Campaign

Your commitment to serving military members, veterans and their families does not go unnoticed. Every day, the Exchange receives messages complimenting associates who go above, beyond and out of their way to serve the best customers in the world.

Weekly, I receive a collection of these positive comments, and I will send the associates a note adding to the praise. The compliments never fail to impress me with the ways Team Exchange serves Soldiers, Airmen, Guardians, retirees and their families.

Customers have praised associates for reuniting them with lost wallets or assisting them with buying gifts for their spouses. Customers have singled out Exchange team members who resolved issues with PCSing. Shoppers have sent kudos to associates who have found ways to load large merchandise into their vehicles or helped with deliveries to their homes.

Today, the Exchange is launching Serving Heroes Champion of the Week, an internal social media campaign highlighting associates whom customers have singled out for praise.

This will be in addition to my monthly Operation: Call Out feature that celebrates stellar associates in the Exchange Post and social media, where teammates nominate those represented. The Serving Heroes Champion of the Week will celebrate associates who have connected with shoppers in a special way.

Sandi Lute, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing at Corporate Communication, created this series to recognize associates.  It’s a fantastic way to boost workforce morale and highlight the exceptional work of Team Exchange.
