Minot AFB Exchange Unveils Express 2.0

After a year of dedicated work, the Minot Air Force Base Exchange unveiled its newly upgraded Express on July 30, marking a major milestone in its commitment to serving Airmen, their families and base personnel.

“This renovation brings a new level of convenience and comfort to our service members and their families,” said Minot Exchange General Manager Reatha Stockton. “We’re honored to offer updated amenities that enhance their shopping experience.”

The $4.77 million renovation funded by the Exchange introduced a host of improvements designed to enhance the shopping experience and operational efficiency. Updates include modern fixtures, improved lighting, expanded shelving and upgraded freezers. Accessibility was also a priority, with two additional parking spaces added for those with disabilities. Behind the scenes, a new stockroom and a warehouse expansion featuring a loading dock now support smoother logistics and inventory management.

To celebrate, the Exchange team hosted a ribbon-cutting attended by 5th Bomb Wing Commander Col. Jesse W. Lamarand; 91st Missile Wing Commander Col. Jimmy L. Schlabach; Exchange Central Region Senior Vice President Rebecca Santee; Regional Vice President Vanessa Rowland; and Stockton.

“The upgraded Express is a testament to the Exchange’s unwavering commitment to our Airmen and their families,” Col. Lamarand said. “These improvements directly support quality-of-life and readiness, and we’re grateful for the investment in our community.”

“This renovation reflects the strong partnership between the Exchange and our mission,” Col. Schlabach added. “Enhancing daily conveniences for our personnel helps ensure they’re equipped and supported both on and off duty.”
