If the federal government shuts down Jan. 31, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service will remain open. Associates will not see any interruption in payroll.
The Exchange does not rely on appropriations from Congress and, as a non-appropriated fund entity of the Department of War, most of the operating budget comes from the sale of goods and services.
Team Exchange perseveres in being mission-focused and taking care of Soldiers, Airmen, Guardians, Veterans and families no matter the challenges. These heroes need their hard-earned Exchange benefit the most during these times—and we will continue to provide the same level of support and care that is an Exchange hallmark.
Supervisors will update associates on updates regarding a potential government shutdown.
