The Fort Huachuca community celebrated the grand opening of Salon Suites, a new beauty concept. The Exchange chose Fort Huachuca to debut the new service because Soldiers, family members and Army civilians often had to travel to larger installations or more urban areas for self-care needs because of limited local options.

“Salon Suites is expected to expand service options for the local community while helping the Exchange remain competitive in a rapidly evolving beauty industry,” said Fort Huachuca Exchange General Manager Marne Gulde. “This launch not only supports small business owners but also enhances the Quality of Life for Soldiers and their families by bringing convenient, professional beauty and wellness options directly onto the installation.”

Salon Suites features a modern business model that brings multiple beauty and wellness services together under one roof while supporting independent small-business owners. The new space features three private suites, each operated by a licensed professional who rents their booth at a flat rate and sets their own pricing, services and scheduling.

The suites will be home to:

  • Hair by Shay Will, offering a range of services including haircuts, shampoos, braids and more.
  • Nomad Massage by Mariah, providing massage services with Sunday appointments available.
  • Cheri Antoinette Esthetics, specializing in waxing services.

“The beauty industry is changing, and Salon Suites has become one of the leading models,” said Exchange Business Program Specialist Jessica Coleman. “Stylists can run their own business without the significant upfront investment of opening a full salon. For the Exchange, it’s a way to offer diverse, in-demand services in a single space and respond to what our customers have asked for.”

Across the three stylists, there were 29 new appointment sign-ups from attendees at the Salon Suites debut.

“Shay is the best stylist I’ve ever had. I’ve worked with many over the years, but she stands out as the best,” said 1st Lt Janae Roy. “I’m so glad to have this service available right on post, just 15 minutes away. I even scheduled my next appointment with Cheri for a facial.”

The salon, at 51 Arizona St., Building 52030, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for appointments and walk-ins. Each business will also provide its own contact number and QR code for customers to book directly, giving clients flexibility and direct access to their preferred stylist or practitioner.
