From the playground on an installation to the front lines of the Exchange—if you grew up in a military family, we want to tell your story! In honor of Month of the Military Child, we’re launching the Purple Roots: Proud to Serve series. We’re looking for the associates who lived the military life as kids and are now serving the community as adults.

How to Join the Series:

Whether you’re more of a throwback photo person or a star of the show video creator, we want to see your journey. For photos, send us a then-and-now duo: one childhood shot (on base or with a parent in uniform) and one current Exchange photo. Include a short quote on how being a military brat helps you connect with our customers today.

Feeling camera-ready? Send us a 30-second video. Keep it vertical, raw and upbeat.  Tell us who you are, where you’re from and why your purple roots make you proud to serve at the Exchange.

Send submissions to socialmedia@aafes.com by March 25 with subject line: Associate-Military Brat 26.

Submissions will be featured on Exchange Associate social media throughout April.

Your experience is what makes Family Serving Family more than just a core value. Let’s show the world the heart behind the Exchange.
