Nancy Flores is a wonderful example of Family Serving Family. She has been with the Exchange for four years and has worn many hats. Nancy moved to Services in September 2024 and has taken the time to improve her professional development by graduating Services Business Manager Academy Cycle 25-1. She has created excitement for the Los Angeles Air Force Base/Space Force community with the addition of several new commodity and short-term food vendors. Nancy partnered with our food vendors to increase MILITARY STAR card penetration for the fourth quarter and had everyone excited to partner up for this friendly competition. Nancy was instrumental in the growth of sales in FY 2025! She has increased sales for STFA by $268,925 or 77.38% for FY 2025 vs. FY 2024. Nancy truly embodies the example of Family Serving Family for the Los Angeles Exchange community!

Jannic has proven to be an associate who is quick to take the initiative. He is always willing to go above and beyond to help customers and his teammates. He arrives and leaves work in the best mood and helps lift everyone’s spirits. He is quick to help anyone with anything they are doing. Even at the last minute, Jannic is willing to rearrange his schedule to help at work when asked. He has become an essential associate in a very short time.

Carisa Corporon

Carisa is an exceptional Starbucks foreman. Her leadership, customer‑service excellence and commitment to Starbucks standards have made a meaningful and measurable impact on our store’s performance and our ability to serve the military community with excellence. Carisa is not only an accomplished foreman but also a certified barista who consistently demonstrates mastery in beverage craft and operational standards. She models correct routines, coaches partners with patience and clarity, and ensures that every shift runs smoothly and efficiently. Under her guidance, the store has achieved impressive results, including an 8% reduction in expenses and a 15% increase in productivity—a testament to her operational awareness, attention to detail and strong teamwork approach. Additionally, Carisa upholds superior coffee and beverage quality. She routinely leads brewed coffee and espresso tastings with partners and demonstrates excellence in crafting beverages—such as the perfect Caramel Macchiato—with accuracy, consistency and pride. This commitment ensures that customers experience the joy of a perfectly prepared drink from the very first sip. Perhaps most important, Carisa excels in customer care. She engages with our military community with genuine kindness, professionalism, and respect. She listens, adapts, and is always open to feedback and new ideas that will benefit both customers and the team. For her outstanding leadership, operational contributions, beverage expertise and unwavering commitment to the Starbucks mission and brand standards, Carisa is well-deserving of this recognition.
