The Redstone Arsenal Exchange unveiled the newly renovated Goss Road Express, bringing an updated and more convenient shopping experience.
Originally built in 1996, the nearly 14,000-square-foot store debuted its first renovation March 13. The $2.1 million project, funded by the Exchange, was completed in six months and features a new beverage cave, polished flooring and new restaurants for the Redstone community, including Chopz and Hunt Brothers Pizza.
Col. Erin Eike, Redstone Arsenal garrison commander; ReBecca Santee, Exchange Central Region senior vice president; Antonio Porter Sr., Exchange South Central Region vice president; and Sheldon Richburg, Exchange general manager, cut the ribbon on the updated store.
โRedstone Arsenal is committed to working collaboratively with the Exchange to support the evolving needs of our service members,โ Eike said. โThis effort reflects the coordination across our installation to ensure our Nationโs heroes have access to the resources they need to carry out their mission.โ
Richburg echoed the spirit of collaboration.
โToday marks a new beginning as the Army & Air Force Exchange Service welcomes innovation and change to help us better serve our Nationโs heroes and their families,โ Richburg said. โThis celebration reflects the Exchangeโs enduring partnership with Redstone Arsenal and our shared commitment to serving those who serve.โ
Attendees received gift bags and samples of Hunt Brothers Pizza, Chopz and various beverages from the Express.
โThis celebration is a result of teamwork,โ Porter said. โThese upgrades allow Team Exchange to evolve to the needs of our in the Huntsville area.โ
