Eastern Region recognizes Jared Martin, Jenny Vansise and Charles Marshall for their contributions to and support of the Exchange mission. The focus on customer service is a priority, and it shows in the results! Thanks for all you do!

Joint Base Langley-Eustis Exchange

Jared is responsible for supporting multiple installations—including Fort Eustis, Langley Air Force Base, Bethel Manor Express and Fort Story—by transporting mail, packages, confidential interoffice materials and merchandise. Beyond these critical functions, he also supports facility operations through tasks such as stocking, setup, and maintenance. Jared consistently executes these responsibilities with precision, reliability and professionalism. Jared’s journey with the Exchange began as a store associate, and as a Navy Veteran, he brings with him a strong sense of discipline, accountability and service. These qualities are evident in everything he does. He is diligent, hardworking and  dependable—someone leadership and peers alike can rely on without hesitation. Jared does not simply complete assigned tasks; he anticipates needs, identifies solutions and steps in wherever support is required. His ability to quickly develop and execute plans—often on short notice—makes him an invaluable asset to the general manager and the entire team. He consistently demonstrates professionalism through his courteous, respectful and team-oriented approach. He fosters a positive work environment and exemplifies the core values of the Exchange. Jared Martin’s contributions extend far beyond the expectations of his role. His commitment, adaptability and exceptional work ethic make him highly deserving of this recognition.

Jenny consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to making customers her No. 1 priority, which is clearly reflected in the positive culture in her facility and the high standards upheld by her team. Her leadership has played a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience while maintaining operational excellence. Jenny achieved a perfect score on her first Steritech inspection, a significant accomplishment that highlights her attention to detail, focus on food safety and ability to lead her team effectively. In addition, her facility has earned “A’ rating on Medic inspections, further demonstrating her consistency in maintaining top-tier standards. Her performance sets a strong example for others and greatly contributes to the overall success of the Exchange. Jenny is to be commended for her professionalism, dedication and continued commitment to excellence.

Fort Jackson Exchange

Mr. Marshall is Fort Jackson’s longest-standing vendor. Hehas been an integral part of the Fort Jackson Exchange since 1993. Beginning as a short-term vendor selling mugs, keychains and T-shirts, he evolved by 1997 into providing plaques and trophies to the military community, thus establishing himself as a valued long-term vendor. A retired military member with 28½ years of service since he enlisted in 1961 and retired in 1989, Mr. Marshall brought a deep understanding of the military community’s needs. His dedication to providing products that recognize accomplishments has truly brought joy to our customers. Mr. Marshall and his team are known for their excellent service; for maintaining a clean, neat and organized facility; and for  their welcoming personalities that continually draw customers in. We sincerely thank Mr. Marshall for his years of service with the Exchange and look forward to many more years of successful collaboration.
