The Army & Air Force Exchange Service put its best of the best Express stores in the spotlight May 11, presenting the inaugural COO Xpress Awards during the annual Express seminar in Orlando.
The award highlights outstanding performance across convenience store operations.

The 2025 winners are:
- Central Region: Fort Polk South Main Express
- Eastern Region: Joint Base Langley-Eustis Langley Express Class Six
- Europe/Southwest Asia Region: Grafenwoehr Express
- Pacific Region: Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Pohakuloa Class Six
- Western Region: Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Elmendorf Main Express Class Six
Winners were selected based on key performance metrics, including:
- Sales and earnings without gas before depreciation.
- Snack Avenue gross margin.
- Productivity.
- MILITARY STAR applications and penetration growth.
