Exchange Relevancy Series: MFEs Keep Deployed Troops Ready, Resilient

Wherever Warfighters go, the Exchange stands with them, supporting readiness, resiliency, recruiting and retention. Sharing the Exchange relevancy with your community helps the organization—and the benefit—stay strong.
The Exchange Post is sharing 25 key statements – three at a time – about the Exchange mission and support.
Here are the next three:
No Permanent Store? No Problem! Exchange support of deployed service members is a key enabler of the military’s readiness and resiliency. Mobile field Exchanges—Exchanges on wheels used overseas in military exercises and combat zones and here at home to provide support after natural disasters—deliver a valuable service and a taste of home to service members.
Guard and Reserve Support. Serving the National Guard and Reserves is a priority for the Exchange. In 2018, the Exchange operated mobile field exchanges to support citizen-warriors in natural disasters after hurricanes Florence and Michael.
The Real Deal. The Exchange is the sole retail provider of Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) operational camouflage pattern uniforms. OCP uniforms sold by private companies are not certified by DLA, not subject to the same rigorous quality control processes and may not adhere to NATICK specifications and standards. Each year, the Exchange provides troops with more than 1.1 million combat uniforms.
