Nevada Adjutant General Honors Nellis Military Clothing Store Associates

Maj. Gen. Ondra L. Berry honored Nellis Air Force Base Exchange associates with a plaque on June 24.
Shortly after his appointment as adjutant general of Nevada in 2019, Maj. Gen. Ondra L. Berry visited the Military Clothing Store at Nellis Air Force base, looking to purchase a few items.
He left with a new service uniform, complete with all the accoutrements.
Maj. Gen. Berry’s first visit to the Exchange facility created such a strong impression that he kept coming back, and on June 24 he honored Store Manager Brenda Goodie and her team with a commemorative plaque.
“Presented to Brenda Goodie, Awarded for Excellence, To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Required,” the plaque reads. “Thank you for all that you have done to support me as the Adjutant General for the State of Nevada.”
After that first visit, Maj. Gen. Berry forged a close relationship with the Exchange associates.
“We have had the pleasure of working with him and his staff for almost two years now,” Goodie said. “We exceeded his expectations on service, and when he required other uniform items, Nellis Military Clothing was where he returned.”
Nellis Exchange General Manager Matthew Beatty said he is proud that Goodie and associates Katjuscia Simoni, Michelle Huff, Judith Olisky and Darrell Farve Sr. were recognized.
“Brenda and the Nellis Military Clothing team go above and beyond to take care of their customers every day, regardless of how big or small their requests are,” Beatty said. “The fact that the Nevada National Guard has taken the time to recognize them also shows how we serve all facets of the military community. This is the truest example of family serving family.”
