Popular Korean-inspired Restaurant Opens Third Location in Kuwait

Camp Arifjan in Kuwait celebrated the grand opening of Desert Diamond on Aug. 7. This is the third Kuwait location for the restaurant, which has been popular at Camp Buehring and Ali Al Salem.
Opening the Camp Arifjan location took more than four years because of the COVID pandemic.
“The pandemic delayed the opening” said Exchange General Manager Elizabeth Goodman-Bluhm. “With the support of the Directorate of Installation Services (DIS), and the perseverance of our Services Business Manager, Ace Cummings, Services Business Tech Ulan Isabaev and new SBM, John Oliviero, we were able to get this restaurant back on track to open.”
The grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting by COL Daniel Enslen, Commander ASG-Kuwait; Exchange Southwest Asia Regional Vice President James Clark; Goodman-Bluhm; Command Sgt. Maj. Leon Black and Desert Diamond Owner, Mr. Jung Sung.
The Korean-inspired chain offers popular dishes such as chicken in garlic sauce and cucumber kimchi. It also offers an assortment of fruit smoothies. All items are freshly prepared in-house, and the restaurant seats up to 96 patrons. On opening day, the Camp Arifjan location filled more than 600 orders.
