Selfridge ANGB Exchange Brings New Flavors to Military Community with Pop’s Place

Selfridge Air National Guard Base Exchange has welcomed a new dining option, Pop’s Place, offering Mexican and American cuisine to the community. From the menu’s variety to the family-friendly environment, the restaurant has quickly become a favorite among the military community.
127th Wing Commander Brig. Gen. Matthew Brancato and Chief Master Sgt. Bruce Hedrick joined General Manager Charles Thrasher III and Services Business Manager Doaa Hassan to cut the ribbon on the restaurant in November. The restaurant celebrated Veterans visiting the Exchange on Veterans Day with a complimentary salad bar.
“The community has responded very positively to Pop’s Place,” Doaa said. “Guests have been enjoying the variety and mix of flavors as well as the welcoming atmosphere. We’re confident the restaurant will become a staple for military families to dine at.”
Pop’s Place offers burritos, tacos, nachos, salads, burgers, fries, hot dogs, sandwiches, ribs and more, catering to a wide range of tastes on the installation.
The new restaurant is the latest addition to the dining lineup at Selfridge. The Selfridge Exchange welcomed Hunt Brothers Pizza and unattended retail units this year.
