The Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Exchange recently celebrated the grand reopening of Burger King after $2.4 million in upgrades.

The renovation features new dual drive-thru lanes, an improved dining room and updated bathrooms.

“The reopening gives the community a fresh new place to enjoy their comfort foods,” said Davis-Monthan Exchange Burger King Manager Judy Cuellar. “We hope to reach more of the community with an enhanced seating area and drive-thru.”

355th Mission Support Group Commander Col. Gabriel Craig and Western Region Vice President Robert Rice joined Davis-Monthan AFB Exchange leaders as they cut the ribbon on the restaurant.

The celebration included the Presentation of Colors, a prayer from the chaplain and speeches from Craig and Exchange General Manager Hafeeza McCullough.

The Burger King was built in 1988 and has since served nearly 4 million customers. This restaurant also has a notable associate who has worked there for 27 years.
