Introducing LINK: A New Way to Connect, Learn and Lead

LINK EP story

A new initiative is bringing associates across the organization closer to leadership, strategy and one another. The program is called LINK, short for Leaders Inspiring Networks & Knowledge — which aims to strengthen workplace culture, boost morale and reinforce the value of connection at all levels.

LINK is designed to build bridges between people, departments and ideas. It creates space for real conversations, shared learning and collective inspiration.

“When associates feel more connected to their leaders and understand the ‘why’ behind organizational goals, their work becomes more meaningful and empowering,” said Dr. Patrick Oldenburgh Jr., EVP, Chief Human Resource Officer.

Each month, a senior leader will host a session via Teams aligned to key business priorities. These meetings will go beyond presentations, offering candid discussions with leaders sharing insights, personal stories, challenges they’ve overcome and lessons learned. The sessions are designed to inspire, encourage growth and offer actionable takeaways.

Chief Operating Officer Marla Randolph will host the first session May 28 at 2 p.m. Central.

The sessions are open to all associates, offering an opportunity to connect across silos, expand perspectives and better understand how the organization operates — and where it’s headed.

Leaders are encouraged to model curiosity and a learning mindset by promoting participation among their teams. Feedback from associates will help shape the future of LINK and ensure it remains a valuable, evolving resource.

“This is just the beginning,” said Jessica Provan, Chief, HR Learning. “LINK is an opportunity to connect, grow and lead forward — together.”

For more information, associates can contact CorporateLearning@aafes.com or join the Exchange LINK Team channel on Microsoft Teams, which is where all program content will be housed.
