George Aaron Thomas and the Donato’s Pizza team are outstanding contributors to the Redstone Arsenal Services team. Since joining our network of STFA (Short-Term Food Activity) vendors, Aaron and Donato’s have played a pivotal role in expanding Donato’s presence and enhancing the dining experience for our community. Donato’s began its journey on the Arsenal by offering fresh, high-quality pizzas and entrée salads through a food truck operation. With Aaron’s leadership and dedication, the brand steadily gained popularity, becoming one of the most sought-after STFA vendors on base. Today, Donato’s operates five days a week, delivering delicious meals to various buildings across the installation. Beyond their exceptional daily service, Donato’s is also making a significant impact by supporting the Services team in launching two new food operations in separate buildings. This expansion highlights their commitment to meeting the evolving needs of Redstone Arsenal and to ensuring convenient, quality meal options are available to our customers. The results speak for themselves—compared with last year, Donato’s sales have increased by an incredible 162%, and the numbers continue to grow. This remarkable achievement is a testament to Aaron’s hard work, strategic vision and unwavering commitment to excellence. Angie is the embodiment of the Exchange core value of Family Serving Family. Recently when a manager from Arnold AFB, a remote store of the Fort Campbell Exchange, had to unexpectedly be out, Angie stepped into the gap. With the help of her store manager, Angie dropped what she was doing and went TDY for 30 days to cover the small remote Exchange, ensuring no break in service for the local community. Angie split her time between her home store at Fort Campbell and the store at Arnold AFB, about an hour outside of Nashville. This small three-person facility is a great benefit to the community. Without Angie stepping up and filling in, we would have had a hard time taking care of the small but important military community. Angie was an amazing help to the Exchange, the Arnold AFB store team and the store manager she covered for.
