Stuttgart, Germany – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service marked another milestone in its mission to improve the Quality of Life for military communities overseas with the grand opening of Panda Express at Panzer Kaserne, the third location of the popular American eatery in Europe.

Before the ribbon was cut, more than 150 members of the Stuttgart military community gathered in anticipation of being among the first to enjoy the new restaurant. The first 30 guests, including the Stuttgart High School football team, which adjusted its practice schedule to attend, were rewarded with complimentary meals for their early arrival.

“For 130 years, the Exchange and the U.S. military have partnered to meet the unique needs of our military communities to improve their Quality of Life,” said EUCOM Exchange General Manager Robin Boylan. “Getting a taste of home at familiar restaurants like Panda Express helps our customers feel connected to their families and friends back home.”

From the moment the doors opened, the Panda Express saw a steady stream of customers, serving hundreds of meals with speed. Early performance indicators suggest that Panda Express at Panzer is poised to be one of the top-performing concession food concepts in the region, with projected earnings reflecting both high demand and long-term sustainability.

“Meeting our community’s needs is our top priority,” said Capt. Boluwatife Obembe, Commander of USAG Stuttgart Headquarters and Headquarters Company. “USAG Stuttgart continues to work with partners like the Exchange to implement new Quality-of-Life initiatives, like Panda Express, that directly support recruitment, retention and readiness.”

The grand opening ran seamlessly, thanks to close collaboration among Exchange teammates, the Services and Food Directorate, HQ Procurement, the USAG Stuttgart and Panda Express. From the planning phase to the grand-opening celebration, Exchange teams were instrumental in executing a smooth launch.

“We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished here,” said EUCOM Consolidated Exchange Services Business Manager Tina Eakin. “The community’s positive response shows their support and appreciation for adding Panda Express to the food options at USAG Stuttgart. It’s clear that this is more than just a meal, it’s a connection to home, and a reflection of the Exchange’s commitment to serving those who serve.”

With existing locations in Grafenwoehr, Ramstein and now Stuttgart, additional Panda Express locations are being proposed across Europe Region. The Exchange remains dedicated to delivering more of the tastes and comforts of home to military communities, one grand opening at a time.
