If the Government Shuts Down, the Exchange Will Stay Open

Associates will not see any interruption in payroll.

Team,

If the federal government shuts down Oct. 1, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service will remain open. Associates will not see any interruption in payroll.

The Exchange does not rely on appropriations from Congress. It is a non-appropriated fund entity of the Department of War, and most of the operating budget comes from the sale of goods and services.

Team Exchange perseveres in being mission-focused and taking care of Soldiers, Airmen, Guardians, Veterans and families no matter the challenges. These heroes need their hard-earned Exchange benefit the most during strife—and we will provide the same level of support and care that is an Exchange hallmark.

Supervisors will update associates on anything regarding a potential government shutdown.

It is a privilege to be your teammate. Thank you for your steadfast commitment to serving those who serve and have served.

Family Serving Family!

Very best,

Tom Shull

Director/CEO
