
The Fort Benning Exchange received top honors in the Exchange Safety Awards, which were announced this week at the Exchange Managers Conference. The awards recognize the Exchange and main stores in four categories that recorded the highest reduction in recordable accidents compared with the previous year. And the winners are …
Exchange Worldwide Safety Award
Winner: Fort Benning Exchange (Eastern Region) – The Fort Benning Exchange achieved a 75% reduction in recordable accidents and a 38% decrease in overall accidents.
Main Store Exchange Safety Award Winners
Small: Fort Wainwright (Western Region) – Accidents were reduced by 82%, and the team had zero recordable accidents for the second consecutive year.
Medium: Davis-Monthan AFB (Western Region) – The BX reduced accidents by 86% and reduced recordable accidents to just one.
Large: Travis AFB (Western Region) – Overall accidents dropped 52% and recordable accidents by 71%.
Mega: Kadena AB (Pacific Region) – Overall accidents fell by 57% and recordable accidents by 50%.
“These award winners continually put safety first,” said Vice President of Loss Prevention Tommie Caudle. “Their daily diligence makes their Exchange a safe environment for both shoppers and associates.”
