In brief:
- MILITARY STAR® Military Clothing Plan credit limit has increased
- Limit is now $1,500 with interest-free financing
- Gives Warfighters more room to meet their uniform needs
Serving the military community starts with understanding what our service members need and finding ways to better support them. At the Exchange Credit Program, that means making sure MILITARY STAR® provides benefits that make a difference in their everyday lives.
Uniforms are part of those everyday needs. Having the right uniforms and accessories is essential to carrying out military duties and we are dedicated to helping make those purchases more manageable.
The Exchange Credit Program has increased the MILITARY STAR Military Clothing Plan credit limit from $1,000 to $1,500, with interest-free financing and 12 months to repay qualifying purchases.
What does that mean for Soldiers, Airmen, Guardians, Marines, Sailors, Reservists and National Guard members? More room to meet their uniform needs while spreading payments over 12 months without interest. Whether they’re replacing items or purchasing additional essentials, the higher limit gives them another option to manage those expenses.
The goal is not simply to offer more credit. It is to provide useful benefits with clear terms so service members can make informed decisions about what works best for them. The Military Clothing Plan is a feature of the MILITARY STAR account, with eligibility based on status. Its qualifying purchases carry a fixed annual percentage rate of zero percent.
Purchases that qualify for the Military Clothing plan include:
- Defense Logistics and Troop Support (DLATS)-procured issue military clothing items and footwear.
- DLATS organizational clothing and individual equipment items.
- Exchange commercial uniform clothing, undergarments, insignia and footwear to be worn with the uniform.
Thank you to our Military Clothing teams and associates across the Exchange for helping connect service members with their benefits. Your knowledge and everyday interactions help turn a program enhancement into meaningful support for our military community.
