Jasper Laput
Warehouse Worker
Hickam Air Force Base

Jasper has been part of our family at Hickam Main Store for almost five years.  Currently he is a warehouse worker. His commitment to ensuring accountability in the stockroom has earned him the title of “Misrouted King.”  He created a spreadsheet to make it easy to track misrouted picks and missing merchandise, allowing us to report $26,402 in misrouted merchandise to more than 25 facilities in FY22.  Jasper is admired and respected by his peers, and his energetic personality shines through whenever he is assisting internal or external customers. He is the epitome of our core values and proudly represents the Exchange. We are extremely delighted to have him as part of our Hawaii ohana.

Esmeralda Kadel
Food Service Worker – Popeyes
Osan Air Base

Esmeralda has received numerous outstanding customer comments regarding her excellent customer service. She recently received this comment: “I can’t remember her name, but I think her coworker said it was ‘Kadel.’  She was the only one wearing an orange Popeyes shirt on 21 March 2023. Hands down she provided the best customer service I have experienced in my four years at Osan and my lifetime at other installations. Popeyes seemed to be understaffed that day, but Esmeralda made sure each customer was happy and had what they wanted. My husband and I were almost shocked by her kindness. I know what it’s like working in customer service—you can start to feel like a zombie. No, she was kind and friendly! Hopefully this will reach her.” Esmeralda epitomizes the Exchange core values daily and executes the four foundations of customer service flawlessly. Thank you, Esmeralda, for your hard work and dedication!
